NATIONAL CHAPTER OF THE YEAR 2006-2007
 Welcome to the website of the Phoenix Alumni Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. I am proud to be a part of the Phoenix Alumni Chapter that has won numerous awards, most notably, National Medium Size Chapter of the Year for 2006‑2007. The formal announcement was made at the 78th Grand Chapter Meeting in Minneapolis, MN. This award represented the kind of commitment the Phoenix Alumni Chapter brothers manifest toward each other, “It’s a Nupe thang” Brothers pulling together to get the job done in true Kappa fashion. Our Guide Right Program was also recognized as Guide Right Chapter of the Year by the Western Province and has received recognition over the years from the Kappa Alpha Psi, Inc. We were responsible for raising the Bar and now our National Guide Right Program is well known. This year, we expect to mentor between 25 and 30 young men who reside in Phoenix Metropolitan area.
As leader of the Phoenix Alumni Chapter, I want to thank you for spending this time with us. As you visit our website, I trust that you are inspired to learn about Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, the Phoenix Alumni Chapter and our programs that serve and benefit the citizens of the Phoenix Metropolitan area. Kappa Men participate in a number of community activities that help enhance the lives of young people as well as mature members of our society.
We welcome new brothers to the Valley and inactive brothers in the Valley to renew your interest and “Come Home to Kappa”; be a part of the exciting atmosphere created by brothers doing their part. By spending a little time on this site, we hope that you will be convinced to join us in our chapter activities. New ideas and fellowships from brothers are always welcome. Be sure to click on the "Our Chapter/ Chapter Events" link to learn "what's up" with Kappa Alpha Psi and hopefully you will be inspired to join us in our contribution to the community at large.
Allow me to share a personal story with you: When I first arrived in the Valley in 1985, I was introduced to a Brother who was not very cordial. Unfortunately, I allowed that introduction to keep me away from the Bond for over 20 years. I finally became active (at the urging of some brothers I had met) and realize what a terrible mistake I had made. I promised myself I would take every opportunity to share this lesson with others so that they don’t lose out on the Bond. Do not let past experiences influence your lack of participation; you just might regret it.
If you wish to pay dues or purchase tickets for our various events, etc. by credit card, we now give you the option to use "PayPal" on our site. Check the link under "Our Chapter" for “paying dues/purchase tickets" or follow the links from specific "Chapter Events" to purchase tickets to the event. This feature can also be used by the general public to purchase tickets.
